So yesterday didnt manage to blog, as it was the farewell to Singaporean comedian Jimmy Nah on Monday. It was filled with songs and tears. Some 50 celebrities were there, including MediaCorp artistes Chew Chor Meng, Thomas Ong, Zheng Geping, Marcus Chin, Aileen Tan, Huang Shinan and Pan Lingling. Before the funeral started, the stars sang to Nah, serenading him with his favourite karaoke songs. Many artistes wept as they sang. There, stars took turns to go to the podium to pay tribute to their friend. He earned the nickname MC King after a malingering character he played in the 1990 Mandarin sitcom Friends Next Door. But in real life, he was nothing like his malingering on-screen persona. A graduate from the then-Singapore Broadcasting Corporation Drama Training Course in 1989, he had appeared in more than 60 local Chinese drama series, English sitcoms, variety shows and stage plays. Copy from jasmin's blog, mainly from Straits time. When i heard this news at friday night news, i shocked me, i thought i was a joke, or what, until they said it. Then i started to feel sad, as Singapore lose another best Comedian. He having breathing problems at friday afternoon, and sent to Tan Tock Seng hospital where he died later. He was a member of the JT (jack's team) which is the singapore most biggest team of comedy here.
