Now i will post of yesterday and today.Friday, 25/1/08 Today, we had done campcraft training, and by the time of 13mins, wow got a huge improvement, from 20mins, to 19mins, now to 13mins. Well gabe and kenneth got some matters to see to and they didnt come, so we replaced them with the reserves. Hmm, the last 3 mins i can say is waste on my shelter as tham replace gabe, and tham lashing not tight, that why, delay us. The way of training, we follow joo teng method, and it did us a great help. After that went back home, and start to prepare things for tomorrow ATF. Saturday, 26/1/08 woke up at 6.15am, wash up and go school to meet my NCOs,HO and CIs, after that set off to my favourite camp site and ubin. When we reached ubin, our HO asked us whether we want to take vehicles in or walk in??? As we the NCOs been through swear and pain, we all answer back with the same answer, which was WE WILL WALK IN. That show how we NCOs was. We total took about half an hour to reach campsite. The ATF starts at 9am, and we were dispatched into unit to do each element. Swiss was the first to do the PP (which i didnt know how to spell, only know the short form of it) which is to reach the top, and jump to reach the pole infront. I was the last to do, and i took along time to do it, because of 2 reasons, 1 is that the instructor help me to tighten the harness till my "bro" was in pain, and the other is that i saw razmil just jump, without telling CIs that he was going to jump, and he made Jun Qi (CI) have a rope burn, also my weight is the same as him, so i hang there for so long is because of this two reasons, not because of i scare. Next thing we do was the DD (same dont know how to spell, so replace in short form) this required teamwork to do it, so everyone have a pair, me and khairul. We were the last two to do it, and all the time i was just climb up and up, also try to stable the spars, so that khairul can climb up. I stopped at the fourth spars, while khairul reached the fifth spar, with my help, that why i was stopped at fourth spar. Then we have our lunch. After lunch, it was our turn (swiss) to do the flying fox. Alot people was scared of height, included me. We need to climb up a spirual staircase to reach the top, and this was eight storey high. My Ho and joo teng sir said that it was the highest in Singapore. Then it was me and khairul turn, same need pair up. So we count down by our own and set off. At first i was unable to breathe, but after awhile i can, and the wind was so strong, almost blow off my helmet. When i reached the ground back, i move on to the next thing to do, which is the tunnel. Inside the tunnel was totally dark unable to see anything. So me, khairul and kok how went in together, we also have our fun inside, when i reached the ball there, and need to get up a slope, i was unable to, but with the help of khaiul hand, i gotten up the slope. We reached the exit need to say the password which was Sara Charlie November Papa Charlie Charlie which stands for SCNPCC ( Swiss Cottage NPCC) then they allow us to exit. Total got five elements to complete, while i felt that completed four makes me happy already so i didnt went to do the last element which was the ARC, advance rope challenge. So i doing sun-tan with meng fai, kang wei, tham, janielson, and gerard. After that we everyone complete the ARC, they going to dismiss us. Some unit keep certain things, and then set off back to Singapore. During lunch time our HO asked us again if we want to walk or take vehicles out, we answer back in one solid answer which was WALK, then the HO nothing to say, haha, SWISS NPCC is tough, we walk in and out of campsite, with taking any vehicles. But when we going back that time, we were rushing as we book the bus to fetch us back was at 4.45pm, and we missed it, so we order the bus, and the fee was the same, which means we paid 2 times for the bus to fetch us back, so we cannot miss the time again, we no chioce, cannot walk out already, then took 2 vans to talk us back to jetty, to transfer to boat. When we reached school backgate, some of us alight, which was HO, tham, me, meng, shaun, kang wei and gerard. Me, meng, shaun, kang wei and gerard went off to westmall to eat. When we reached westmall, shaun said that he had something on, so he went off. We went to the KOFU (kopitiam there eat. As no one told me to bring any money out, so i borrow money from kang wei to eat. After we ate finish our dinner, meng also went off, so left with me, kang wei and gerard. We walked from westmall to CCK, on our walking trip we talked about alot of things, then slack for awhile at teck whye there. After we slack finish, kang wei also went off, left me and gerard, and i was abit hungry, i went to gerard house there buying something to eat and drink. And i sort of 80cents, and i borrowed from gerard. After that gerard went back, and i walked all the way back home. |
